CLOSING THE BONES CEREMONY
RESTORING & INTEGRATING:
AFTER BIRTH & GREAT CHANGE
There are times in life when we are pushed past our limits.

Birthing is one of them.
Great loss is another.
Illness and major surgery.
Menopause.

How do we navigate and integrate immense change so that we feel resolved in our body, mind and soul? I believe the answer is multifaceted, but we need hands on treatment, emotional release and closure in our bodies, our spirits and in the feeling of our stories.
A Closing the Bones Ceremony is a powerful physcial, emotional and ceremonial way to honor and integrate a life changing transition. After training with a traditional Mexican lineage holder of this special work- Naoli Vinaver, I am honored to offer this sacred service to new mothers and women of all ages on the Mid-North Coast.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A CLOSING SESSION?
Usually performed in the first 40 days of the postpartum, but equally valuable at other times too, Closing the Bones with Chaitanya is a special series of ceremonial treatments to bring you back home to yourself. The 3-4 hour session comprises these elements:

Bone Closing Bodywork to specifically address your pelvic bones, organs and tissues after birth with guided somatic emotional release as we work.

Hot Herbal Bath/Sweat to release the toxins and excess fluid from the tissues and heat up the body to deeply calm the rattled nervous system that is so common after birth.

Full Body Binding which facilitates a closing of the body and the energies which have opened wide. This draws women into a deep inner journey of restoration and healing and on release of the binding there is often a sense of shedding a skin and emerging into a new chapter of life.
The Closing the Bones Ceremony can bring a deep embodied sense of coming back home to yourself after a period of intense change or challenge.
It helps us to release pent up big emotions, deeply soothe the nervous system and close the expanded energies that open in birth as well as close a chapter of our life -bringing us forward into the new chapter we are beginning.
This traditional combination of bodywork, steaming, sweating, emotional release and binding have been used ceremonially by traditional birth keepers in Mexico for countless generations to allow mothers to process their birth experiences and heal on all levels from the experience.

Usually performed once twice or three times in the first 40 days of the postpartum, but equally valuable at other times too, this is a special process designed to bring you back home to yourself.

Chaitanya facilitated a beautiful space for my Closing of the Bones Ceremony.
I felt truly nourished as she and my two sister friends loved and honoured my body and soul after birthing my first child. Truly a magical and healing experience Thank you Chai - Angie C.
